Installation and Inspection Steps for Voltage Transformers:
- Inspect the porcelain bushings for any cracks, rough edges, or damage. Check if the bonding between the porcelain bushing and the top cover is secure. Gently move the bushing by hand; it should not be loose.
- Check the oil level indicator of the voltage transformer for blockages or oil leakage. The oil level should reach the standard height. If the oil level is too high, it could create excessive pressure inside the sealed transformer; if too low, it may cause overheating or damage to the insulating materials. The oil level should generally be 10-5mm below the oil tank cover.
- Check the external casing of the voltage transformer for any oil leakage. If leakage is found, the core should be lifted out, the oil should be drained, and repairs made. The valve on the oil tank should rotate smoothly when turned by hand.
Installation Notes for Voltage Transformers:
Voltage transformers are generally installed directly onto concrete pads, which should have adequate strength before installation. Sometimes, voltage transformers are installed inside complete switchgear sets. In such cases, only the wiring needs to be checked. When installing, the following points should be noted: During transport, the voltage transformer should not be tilted more than 15 degrees to avoid damage to the internal insulation; the busbar connected to the bushing should not apply any pulling force to the bushing to prevent damage. The voltage transformer casing must be properly grounded. Additionally, the voltage transformer must undergo a connection test before being put into operation.
